It’s getting dark in here
This valley closes over me
And all the mess and dirt
It hides our secrets and our sins
It finds a way
The rocks they reach the stone
That holds this fortress down inside my mind
I write a thousand words
To be back in this room
It’s never enough
How is it turning
How does it know
I let it go
How is it turning
How does it show
If it was up to me
Then I would let it go
I let it go
The light it filters through
A spotlight on the things we leave behind
Collective memories
Hidden in the land
They stand alone
The fragments of a life
Buried in the dirt
A history
Written in the soil
For you to find
Producer/songwriter Benjamin Schurr blends the medieval with the industrial in Rush, writing harrowing songs with a mystical aura. Bandcamp New & Notable May 13, 2023
The soaring arcs of post-rock, the punchy rhythms of post-hardcore, and the jagged lines of post-punk all join on the latest from Aversions. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2023
Lovely album, Fresh have really honed their sound without losing the joy of the early stuff. The album runs to about half an hour, which I also like (cf. It's a shame about Ray). Sam Baguley
