Manchester to Ibiza
Is sparking some confidence to say
That it’s a shame
And I hate the way
A journey leads a path to a scheme
And it’s a shame
To quiet everything so soon
So bring me some attention
Knock my inhibitions
Been climbing too readily
I need some small piece of mind
That we don’t all die
In the smallest of ways
Thousands of burning objects
What would you save
Your own self worth
And what is it worth?
They all preach, say the shocking thing
Drop the curtain on the fabrication
But listen I’m lost and I’m screaming
Trying to be better
Flailing forever
Building for tomorrow
Red with shame
And it’s a shame
To quiet everything so soon
Producer/songwriter Benjamin Schurr blends the medieval with the industrial in Rush, writing harrowing songs with a mystical aura. Bandcamp New & Notable May 13, 2023
The soaring arcs of post-rock, the punchy rhythms of post-hardcore, and the jagged lines of post-punk all join on the latest from Aversions. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2023
Lovely album, Fresh have really honed their sound without losing the joy of the early stuff. The album runs to about half an hour, which I also like (cf. It's a shame about Ray). Sam Baguley
